I affectionately refer to Pilates as my second career act, and since I started on this journey I have never looked back. It is now such an intricate part of the person I am today.
Previously a fashion buyer and designer, retraining as a Pilates Instructor took me terrifyingly out of my comfort zone. For anyone considering a career change, I cannot recommend it enough. I have learnt so much about myself as well as the professional fitness industry. I have met with many personal and physical challenges throughout, all of which I will openly share in order to motivate you into a new commitment to yourself. The human body is amazing. If you commit to a regular practice it will gradually respond, rewarding you with positive results.
From a very personal perceptive, as my physical strength has developed so has my emotional awareness, understanding and resilience, hence my Pilates philosophy: ‘strength from within’.
On this journey I have had the great privilege of training with Michael King and Malcolm Muirhead on their Pilates matwork and Reformer courses, as well as Body Control Pilates and Balanced Body.
I have a very open, friendly and energetic teaching style. I have seen for myself the changes that adopting a regular Pilates practice can bring to your body, wellbeing and life choices.
